There are several seasonal farms that are open to the public that offer both food and entertainment for curious children and adults wanting to learn more about where food comes from:

Blue Pearl Farms – 9760 Randall Rd – (843) 887-3554 – U-pick or already picked blueberries. They also host a very popular live music event called Blueberry Jam the 3rd Sunday of every month.
Gooden Farm – 906 Skeebs St. – (843) 887-3007
There are also two fresh egg stands in McClellanville. You take what you need and pay with the honor system. Look for the roadside stands on Romain Road and Legare Street (off on Morrison Street).
